In last Wednesday (25/8), the Twitter warned users about a scam being circulated by the social network.
Posted by item "Direct Messages", the message offers a free iPhone, Apple, for people who access the link posted in the text.
When clicked, they are directed to the site bettergifts.net that asks for personal information and then directs the user to the the company sites as legitimate Netfilx, Doubleday Book Club and Columbia House DVD .

Twitter urged participants to reset the password if you conclude that they were victims.
The case was also reported among members of Facebook , according to company spokesman Simon Axten.
"At the moment this threat affects only an extremely small percentage of participants, but we take seriously anything that may compromise the safety of users," said Axten.
This type of spam is considered particularly effective, since the messages appear to come from a trusted source.
